Alan Rogers Review
This is a very good site from which to visit Vienna. It is easily accessable from the autobahn system and the city centre is quickly reached from the site by the efficient Vienna U-Bahn system, line U2; tickets for which can be purchased at reception. There is some traffic and train noise as is found on most city sites. With 254 level touring pitches with electricity and a further 12 with water and drainage, the site has a large and changing population. The site is close to the ‘Donauinsel’, a popular recreation area. The Neue Donau (New Danube), a 20 km. long artificial side arm of the Danube provides swimming, sports and play areas, while the Danube bicycle trail runs past the site. This is a useful location for an overnight stop or a short break to visit old Vienna and the Danube.
Location
Getting there...
Site is close to the A23 and A22. From A23 heading east turn off at first exit after crossing the Donau (signed Lobau). At first traffic lights, near Shell station, turn left and after 200 m. turn right into site.
