Alan Rogers Review
Camping de l’Arche is situated in the valley of the Gardon river, in the beautiful Cevennes National Park. An attractive pebble river beach runs the length of the site. The 250 large pitches are shady and mostly divided by hedges, with 222 used for touring units, all with electricity (6A). In the centre of the site are a bar and restaurant with a terrace for outdoor dining. An innovative new pool complex integrates indoor and outdoor swimming areas, outdoor slides and spa facilities, together with another bar. In cooler periods, the indoor pool can be closed off and heated.
There are many opportunities for activities and sports on the site and in the surrounding area. The area around Anduze is popular for mountain biking and all river related sports are within easy reach. David and Annie Isarte, the site’s professional managers, are keen to make sure your stay is an enjoyable experience.
Six toilet blocks are spread around the site. Facilities include washbasins in cabins and controllable showers. Baby rooms. Facilities for disabled visitors. Motorcaravan services. Shop, Bar/restaurant (27/4-13/9). Swimming pool complex. Entertainment and activities organised in high season. Squash. Hairdresser. Play area. Bicycle hire. Gas or electric barbecues only.
