Camping in Lithuania
Lithuania is the southernmost of the three Baltic States – it was the first occupied Soviet republic to break free from the Soviet Union and declare independence in 1990. It is renowned for the vast Curanion Lagoon formed by a sand spit. Sandy beaches and fantastic sunsets make this a popular holiday destination. The capital Vilnius is often known as “Baltic Jerusalem” which becomes apparent when you see the many churches, towers and medieval courtyards. With five national parks this is the place to be for a breath of fresh air and activities such as walking, cycling, horse riding and fishing.
